Blo Out the Candles
Dress: Nordstrom (also love this one). Bandeau: Nordstrom (similar). Shoes: Target (love these too). Bag: Vintage.
I turned 26 this month, and to ring in my final year as a mid-twenty-something, I took the day off and made it a "treat yourself" day. My first stop for the day was the new Blo Blow Dry Bar location in Aventura. They knew it was my birthday, and upon my arrival gave me a glass of pink champagne to celebrate. It definitely started the appointment off on the right note. The team did wonders on my hair, and left me feeling perfectly pampered.
My hair is notoriously straight. Plenty of curly haired girls have expressed their envy, but I find that it can look pretty flat and lifeless. Once the team at Blo Aventura got my hands on it, though, it retained a gorgeous wave and bounce all day! #BestHairEver, for sure.
These shots were taken during the evening, when G and I were heading to Cecconi's (and after a massage), so the combination of the South Beach breeze and long day doesn't do the blowout as much justice as I would like... but even at the end of the day you can see the curl inward of my hair, the shine and the added volume. Their blowout is $40, and it's worth every penny to make your hair feel like a million bucks.
Pro tip: to keep your blowout going longer, wrap it in a silk scarf overnight. It'll last you through another full day of pampering. ;)
